Its actually based on the lake life of summer residents of Falcon Beach, Manitoba. In Winnipeg where its filmed most everyone in the city either has a cottage on a nearby lake or rents one or camps by one of the lakes. Its only about an hours drive from Winnipeg but its a most beautiful area.
