OMG Is it just me? *spoilers*
Is it just me or are there others out there that found this movie really bad? The acting was unconvincing, the cinematography shaky and even if you are willing to overlook those minor flaws, you can't overlook the fact that the story itself was just really bad!
I personally was very interested to see a gay story in an Asian-American setting. And although small snippets of culture are weaving into the story I can't help but feeling really disappointed after seeing the whole film. I mean was it or was it not a dream sequence? I might have mist something but in the middle of the film Ethan wakes up because of what happens in his dream, in which he brakes into his parents house. Because you flash forward and backward between dreams and reality and even dreams in dreams, it's kind of confusion to follow what is really happening.
The other lead character Remigio has an unexplained tendency to just give give and give. He buys a stranger food, let's him crash at his house, becomes a part of the breaking and entering and eventually is willing to take all the blame. Yes off course he is in love, but can anyone be sooooo stupid and naive. I just didn't believe one minute of it, and as the story progresses it just get worse and worse.
If you want to see a convincing non-stereotype gay movie, just look around, there are loads of them. But you are starting a big discussion if you say that this is one of them
