My poor childhood, is nothing safe from Hollywood and CGI?

Its called "retro" you think all those movies in the 90's were original? nope, just remakes of old 70's stuff, because that's what was the in thing at the time. Everything on the radio was a remake of a 70's song, bands wanted to sound "70's-ish", its the same thing that's going on now, 'cept with 80's. All your tv shows and cartoons, 80's... but your kids don't know any better, to them a recycled Care Bears or He-Man cartoon with CGI is brand new stuff. All that neo-new-wave music ya hear on the radio too, its not original. NOTHING is original anymore. Its mostly either them running out of ideas, or its the execs and producers wanting to relive their youth by re-doing stuff from that time.

I was a big Knight Rider fan when I was little, so I am looking forward to the movie and hoping Hasselhoff actually follows through with his plans. Though he's been talking about it since 2000... I have my doubts. *sighs*

Amen, my thoughts exactly. Things that I hold dear are being chopped up...I was born in 1985 but my interests fall before then, and every time a classic sitcom or cartoon is rehashed and "updated" it annoys me to no end. I don't see the need to turn every old cartoon series into a CGI movie or every classic sitcom into a big-budget flop. *grumbles*

I know what you mean. The care bears have been ruined. In fact I don't call these "abominations" care bears. They may have that name but if they're not from the 80's they're not the real care bears.

Your completely right! Just one slight bit :) These new CGI installments were actually created by the industry (Nelvana Limited) who created the original Care bears. So this time the original makers made a wrong turn and hopefully someone will step into the industry to recreate the Bears in their ORIGINAL form. And nelvana is actually Canadian :P :)
