Why SUCH a low rating?? I mean 4.2? i wouldn't say it was THAT bad. I thought this movie was pretty good. Allthough some of the lines anoyed me...i thought all the actors did a great job. Especially Sarax Paxton, she looked really pretty in pretty much every scene. But yea..i don't understand..why such a low rating?? I mean i'd give it 6/10

Well, I'm male and I thought 300 was WAY overrated, but it wasn't awful or anything. I was pretty dissapointed after everyone said it was amazing. I think the simple answer to why this movie had a low rating is:
It wan't very good. Not terrible but still. I was entertained but because me and my SISTER (who LOVED 300) were making fun of it the whole time. I gave it a 5 because I enjoyed it but it was still a pretty dumb movie. I actually liked it...but also at the same time I wanted to shoot myself. It's one of those so stupid it's funny deals. But when I wanted to shoot myself most was anytime any of the 3 girls giggled.
hehe..hehehehe hahaha hehe hehee
P.S. I actually like a lot of "chick flick" type movies. But this was just stupid. I thought the acting was actually quite good though for such a dumb premise. So they did a good job with that. So...I liked it..but also didn't I guess.

I'm a male voter, and I didn't like 300. This movie was "ok" if you were a 10 year old girl, and into Barbie dolls. That's why the low rating. Not a bad movie, just not a very good one. More suited to animation.

Makes me cringe all these people claiming this film is so overrated and bla bla bla, people saying 'oh I'm a guy so this film sucks' why are you eve watching it anyway, this is not a film aimed at grown up men... this is not supposed to be a super production with philosophical themes, this is a romantic film for teens, and should be rated for what it is and its premise.

I liked "300" for its un-pc portrayal of the first confrontation of the decedent East versus the vital West, a Western style leader of free men versus an Eastern style despot of a slave society, and the height of the warrior art as practiced upon a barbarian horde.
But I also liked this movie "Aquamarine" because it was so dang cute!
