I didnt have time to investigate, nor bother really
But correct me if im wrong...the whole location was filmed in Australia right?(talk about cheap budgetting)
There's no american actors there?
Should i bother to slow-mo/pause this on dvd, if that sexy mermaid accidentaly done a nip?
The movie wasnt bad at all even funnier than Kingkong at least. 7/10 in my liking.
I've seen this "jojo" somewhere, just couldnt put my finger where she's a newcomer i know that much.
As for Ms Tammy K. (Oz's Home & Away) Sad role for her maybe she shouldve flirt a bit more to get better treatment.

No, this is an american movie. it may have been shot in Australia, but the actors are all american. Jojo's a singer, Emma Robert's is an actress (or so she calls herself, she isn't good at it), and Sara Paxton is an actress/singer. In the movie Hailey is moving to Australia and it's a HUGE deal cuz it's so far away from her current home of Florida, U.S.A. so unless America and Australia are suddenly one in the same I'd say no, this is not an australian film

Aww thats so mean. Just cos it sucks (although i havent seen it so i wouldnt know) doesn't mean its Australian. Although there are quite a few Aussie actors in there like Claudia Karvan, Shaun Micallef and that chick from neighbours who plays katya. I was wonderig where tammin sursok went. Havent heard much about her since she left home and away...

Just because a movie is Australian doesn't mean it's gonna suck. I think one of the best Aussie movies I've seen is Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

There were so many things in this movie that tipped me off that it was filmed here in Oz. Most of the actors/actresses were Aussie. They had TotalGirl mag and they went to Diva.

I actually didn't mind this movie. I think the reason I enjoyed it was because I had such a low expectation of it.

i'm australian and i just watched it for the first time, i noticed that it was shot in australia and pretty much every actor was australian, so why bother to set it in florida why not just set it in australia and say she is moving to florida. especially since i noticed heaps of the peoples voices were dubbed over, i've heard many of those actors speaking in australian shows so i know their voices and while some of them may have just been pulling an accent like claudia karvan many of the others had their voices dubbed over by american voice actors. so once again, why go to all that trouble just to set it in florida, it's not like the location was that essential, they should have just set the thing in australia.

Aw, I don't think it's fair to say that. There are very immature people that are 16, 18, 20 etc. I'm 12, and I'm not immature. (btw I know you didn't really mean that, as in 12 years old. xD)

I didn't know it was filmed in Australia but that is so awsome. Thier beaches are so pretty or so from whatI have seen. SO cool

It's filmed in Australia and the supporting cast is Australian. So were all the magazines, I laughed when I saw Girlfriend and Total Girl. There were so many issues with continuity, coz they had all these Australian mags yet they were in "Florida" and they were using American money. It wouldn't have killed them to use some American magazines.

Ermm wasn't everyone in the movie except Aqua, Haley, Claire, Cecilia and Raymond Australian.

Yeah there were only 5 american actors in this movie the rest were australian.
It even says on this site if your bothered to even look, same with the filming location dumbasses !And who cares if it was filmed in Australia, theres a few american movies that were filmed in Australia its because its such a beautiful location !

Star wars, Superman, Ghost Rider, Salems lot remake, Babe, The Matrix films, Scooby Doo - all filmed in Oz, among many others.

I just wish George A Romero would shoot a zombie film here.

That is really stupid, the film is supposedly set in Florida but it's almost entirely made in Queensland, everyone knows Florida sucks for surfing, kite-surfing and stuff like that, unless it's storm season, and in the film it definitely wasn't storm season in Florida. They should've set the film in Australia already, exploiting Australia's magnificent coast and shore then placing it in America...
