Army of Darkness References...

Hi,

I'm just a hick from hicksville but am I the only person who heard 2 sneaky army of darkness references in this movie?

There might have been more but I only caught 2.

Here is my case:

A. That word that Zoc kept saying to make his magic potion. Everytime he
said it and the potion didn't word. I swear it sounded like KLATU.
I know it wasn't KLATU. But still, listen to the tone of his voice!
I kept expecting him to cough and say. I SAID THE WORD.

and

B. When the kid answers the phone at the pizza parlor he says

"HAIL TO THE KING"

And that is when I checked IMDB. Confirmed my idea that the one ant was
indeed Bruce Campbell.

Just a small thing but it seems like something they could get away
with in a kids movie.

Anyone else with me?

You didn't recognize Bruce from his voice??!!

Whipped cream isn't whipped cream at all unless it's been whipped with whips.

Actually, "Klaatu" was originally from The Day the Earth Stood Still, the old black and white version. Army of Darkness took the line "Klaatu Berada Nikto" from that movie.

The Bruce's first line in the movie:

"To The Pit with him!!!"

It's possible they are using the reference. I think the character Bruce Campbell played was my favorite.
