Yeah.... they pretty much had no "normal" person in there. I felt a strong urge to bitch slap every single character.

Many of the humans were just downright annoying. I even found Lucas annoying at the beggining of the movie (he got better later on, of course). But mabye that was just me.

Because they had to establish that the audience feel sympathy for the ants. Jeez, don't like it because it's touching a little close to home, human?
How about Grandma? She wasn't obnoxious.
Lucas may be annoying but the movie meant for his character to change, besides I can understand why he's acting like that in the beginning. He was too stressed out coz he was always bullied. Grandma was not so annoying, as well as Lucas' parents (same typical parents). Tiffany was like what some sisters do to their brothers anyway. Tiff is just popular and Lucas is like a geek or something. That happens a lot.
