And again, a series that starts out great, flops.

Ok, I just saw it, has been on my list for some time, but never got around to it before now.

I just have to say, I undestand perfectly well why it flopped, it started to be more about her wish to be reelected than about things that interests people. I think that if the creators had gone the path where her interest in being reelected, or rather, elected, was non existent, then it could have been about a woman who stod for principles, not a woman who had to take into consideration an election, to continue for 4 or 8 more years. A real game changerbwould have been a war with North Korea. Not a long one, but one where North Korea broke down almost imediately, because of internal unrest, revolt or what not. In stead it became an embarrassment where a US president actually appologised. Come on, she should never have given the promiss, she should have sent the entire fleet in close and provoked a rwaction, so the Chinese could have stod passively by, because North Korea attacked first. And begging the the Turkish president for action, willing to compromise. Maybe things were a little different then, but now, I think a series like that should be more to bolster the US ego than to show that the US is more than glad to turn around on the back, with the bely up, like a dig who wants some attention. Well, I'm a Norwegian, and probably shouldn't think like that, but what I'm really missing is a series where the US is attacked, maybe a nuclear bomb blown up in LA (24, but not detected)and the US president reacting.

The series started out good but the expanding recap was tedious--it finally became about the recap--and shortened the actual show run time. I suspect their budget gradually got cut
