Have there been bastards on this show?

Have there been unmarried parents on this show ("boyfriend/girlfriend", engaged couples, "babymama/babydaddy", or single parents)? Just wondering.

reply

Yes, Jo has helped single parents on several occasions. One in particular that I remember was a dad in Alaska. I believe she also went back to the UK and helped a British single mom.

reply

who cares!?!?!?? its none of your business, quit clogging these boards with your offensive name calling!

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

reply

Why do you have to go around calling them bastards? They are kids just like every other kid. Is it like you're never going to watch the show if there are bastards on it? I wouldn't be surprised.

reply

Well than it's no wonder why so many parents need Supernanny to help with their bastards.

legitimate children are just as problematic as those born outside the bonds of a holy wedlock. trust a babysitter.

I find it offensive that you have Jesus in your username and bring shame on Him with your unloving attitude. Read your bible please and act upon it! Your behaviour is inacceptable!!

reply

I was going to reply that no one uses the term bastard in that context anymore, but seeing more of your posts I realize that you aren't worth replying to. Guess I just did it any way. Oh well.

reply

Do you mean children born out of wedlock or people behaving like ahole douchebags?

I don't think the B word is used anymore for our of wedlock children since there are many alternative parents out there...

You're laborers, you're supposed to be laboring! That's what you get for not having an education!!

reply

Yes I mean children born out of the holy wedlock.

Since when do children of single parents equal bastards???

That word isn't used anymore. (jsut so that you know)

(wondering) Why are so many religious people judgmental? That's God's job!

The term bastard means a child born out of wedlock. It is not name-calling. Somewhere people along the line started using the term for anyone who was a jerk which is not the meaning of the term. Same for people calling someone a bitch which means female dog and not a human. Correct term for dogs are bitch for the female and dog for the male. Find out the real meaning of words before you start condemning people for the inaccurate terminology you believe they use. Educate yourself.

reply

That terminology is NOT used anymore! Most of my students are born out of wedlock and I would NEVER dream of using that word to describe them! Not only is it rude but they don't know the meaning of the word in that context. And before you say anything we are not allowed to discuss any sort of swear word with them. It IS considered a swear word. Deal with it!

I know the real meaning of words, Amazon! Step out of the 1950's. The word is NOT meant for that anymore, just as gay isn't used for happy or ala mode doesn't mean with ice cream to the rest of the world it means fashionable or in the fashion. We also never call donkey's asses. Bathrooms used to need to include an actual bathtub -- it would be a water closet if if didn't now we call all toilet rooms bathrooms.

Who should educate themselves? Not I. Teach in the South Bronx and you'll see the current terminology used often.

You're laborers, you're supposed to be laboring! That's what you get for not having an education!!

If you know real meanings then why are you so obstinate and anal? BTW donkeys are in the ass family of taxonomy. I slow down and stop a lot of swearing among my students by defining the word. I hear some words all of the time. Words are considered swearing IF they are used out of context. I don't like the term bastard and never use it myself even though I was one by birth. My parents had eloped but were forced into an annulment by their families. I work at a job training center that is residential and know swear words in several languages. Many of the students here don't know that their choice of vocabulary is unacceptable in the job world and they have to be taught different. Why don't you chill out and be more liberal in your mindset. I feel sorry for your students with the mindset you display here. I do hope you don't travel to other countries either with that attitude. We have enough ugly US citizens loose in other countries already. BTW yes I said US citizens because anyone born on either American continent is an American already. We all are citizens of certain countries on those continents.

While you are correct in your post, I want to point out something . . . the n-word (I will not use it) used to be an acceptable word for african-americans years ago (at least in the south). It is now considered an offensive term by most of us. I am by far one of the least politically-correct people on this earth, but both the n-word and bastard (at least used in terms of a child born out of wedlock) are 2 of the most incredibly offensive words imo. I also have no use for someone who uses "Jesus Loves Us All" as a user name and spouts only hate (just check their post history and you'll see what I mean). I think the majority of us know that "bastard" was used to describe a child born out of wedlock, but we are smart enough and compassionate enough not to use it now.

I have "educated myself." I know that bastard as a term for illegitimate children is no longer used in the way the OP used it.

It's one thing to know what every word in the dictionary means; it's quite another to know how to use them in modern conversation. You're probably one of those goofballs who rants about homosexuals converting the word "gay."

Isn't Jesus also against calling names and positioning yourself above others?

Incidentally, the word "bastard" isn't used the way you're used anymore, unless you're in a 19th-century British drawing room drama.

reply

lol! You crack me up. Seriously. You're hilarious. 😝

reply

Hey OP!

Does Jesus love "bastards" and their unwed mothers, and unwed fathers?

What are you looking under here for?

reply

Your user id is Jesus loves us all and your referring to children as bastards? Are you serious??? Wonderful way to represent Jesus. No wonder no one wants to be Christian with people like you being so un-christian.

reply

Jesus_Loves_Us_All, as a person born out of wedlock, I am DEEPLY offended by your name calling. Try acting like a Christian, instead of just calling yourself one. Honestly, sometimes Christians can be the most UN-Christian people on the planet, I speak from working retail for 11 + years.
