Mini-series or Season 1?
Tv Tome says it's a 13-part mini-series. So does that mean after 13 episodes, that's it? Or will there be a second "season?"

Same here! I didn't want to go into it with too high expectations before I saw the first episode but I was into it right away. I often find myself re-watching the latest episode with The Movie Network OnDemand. I really hope it continues after the first 13 parts!
