Does this show have a story arc/continuation between eps?

Is this show serialized, where episodes build on top of each other, or is it just an episodes of the week kind of show with no continuity?

It's just playing Possum.

It's a nice mixture of both, actually. There are story arcs that span the whole season (or multiple episodes), but there's usually a main focus on one thing that is covered in that episode. Having seen a lot of crime/science-themed shows, I would say, however, that ReGenesis is a lot more serialized than most of the case-of-the-week shows.

It's a bit difficult to explain if you've never seen the show, but let me just say that even the storyarcs that a particular episode is focused on often continue into the next episode, or at least get mentioned again.

I personally must say that I was hooked immediately upon watching the pilot. It starts off with this huge bang, and then they flash back six months. They only go back to those first few minutes of the show in episode 12. And the main storyarc that starts in episode 1 isn't fully wrapped up until episode 13, although the main focus on that arc gives way to another "A" plot in episode 4.

I hope that helped. (And I might be biased, but I can honestly say that ReGenesis is one of the best and most realistic science-themed shows I've ever seen.)

Thanks. You sold me on the show. Shows that have a case-of-the-week format tend to make me lose interest.

Well, then I hope I didn't sell it too well and you end up not liking it. :-) But I really hope you do. I think it's a fantastic show.

Wow, you just got me interested in seeing this. Not sure how I never heard of this series before and how I've never seen it. I'm usually early to the party.

Is it streaming anyplace you know of?

In the US, yes; e.g.:

As of now (December 2013) all seasons still appear to be available "free" (i.e., a Hulu Plus subscription is currently not required).

At the moment, they have all 4 seasons. (That hasn't always been true. If I remember correctly, they lost Season 4 some time ago and later got it back.)

So, if you're in the US, go for it; but don't wait too long (as in my experience with Hulu it is possible the availability could eventually change).
