Did the author get the idea for Mugenju/Limitless Fortress...Spoilers

From the Matrix? You have a virtual reality that fuses with the real world, and there were times where it was disorienting trying to tell what was real, what was virtual, and certain individuals in Mugenju (such and Ginji, MakubeX) could manipulate it directly. Also, apparently its controlled by a mother computer living in the upper levels (apparently the Mugenju God lives there or something...)

I just finished the first Mugenju Saga, it was quite interesting. Does anyone know if they go into the history of its construction in the later episodes?
