Your favorite standups

I dunno, it's a really tough choice for me, but because he introduced me into the world of standup, I HAVE to go with David Cross. He may not be as critically acclaimed as others, but you can relate to him, and he's just goofy looking. As a runner up, but someone who I respect the most because of the sheer number of stand ups that he's done, along with their quality, I'd pick George Carlin. If anyone could be the best, it would be him.

Wow, whats it take to get deleted by the administrator? Anyways, i dont know if anyone was paying attention, but i couldnt express more how much they screwed up the comic line up...And joan rivers is in there? shes not even a comedian!! Billy Crystal either...maybe technically he used to be, but dont you have to be funny to be a comedian? I dont usually hate, just make what i feel are some obvious points, doesnt really matter anyways. Dane cook should be on there, David cross, mitch hedburg, Norm mcdonald should be higher up, dave chapelle, hey, who finds cedric funny?

"...And joan rivers is in there? shes not even a comedian!!"

Do you mean that literally or that she's not funny? She still is a stand-up comedian but she USED to be funny back in the day. Now she's known as the ugly old bitch. But damn she was hilarious in her day.

The revolution will now be televised. Sundays on Adult Swim.

You have to think of when this came out. in 2004. Dane cook had not yet reached his pinacle or fandom that he has now... Mitch Hedberg was just getting his credit for comedian stardom a few months before he died. If they updated this list... then i'm sure they'd be on there. Dane especially...

I think this show did a good job of mixing the old in with the new, but they did miss some of the most new ones.

Mitch Hedberg is a great one, but compared to many on the list, probably not so revolutionary.

Red Skelton should have definitely been on there, as he is probably one of the first stand ups.

Jim Gaffigan is hilarious, but hasn't done a whole lot to be regarded in that line-up of people.

I think they did a great job outlining the most original and revolutionary comics of each generation.
