Animation change

why did the animation change? it rocked at first but then it just well... its good they kept the voices but now im reluctant to watch the program anymore...

i do get wt u mean, I'm not all that keen on 2nd season design either . . .

Yeah, kinda sucks how the drawing style became more sharp and pointy as compared to the original softer edged way. Kind of like what happened to Dexter's Laboratory.

The animation isn't all that bad, but I'm glad that they changed the dialogue a bit. Sometimes Jake's and Trixie's lines seemed like they were trying too hard to be "young." (i.e. you find Jake saying "mackdaddy" a LOT in the first season and it was incredibly annoying because kids don't actually talk like that.) Luckily the slight change in animation also brought the slight change in lingo as well. It became more believable. Not that it doesn't have it moments sometimes though.

I've recently began to watch the show and was a little surprised when I saw the different animation style of the first season, I even liked the second season dragon better. Now that I'm getting into the first season, I like both animation styles and dragons.

Have any of you seen the Simpsons first episodes!

The animation was better in the first season plus the opening song was a lot better then the one the Jonas Bros. did for the second season.

I prefered the second season song, the first singer sounded like he had a sore throat when he first started singing. But i prefer season 1 animation. I don't like Jake Long as a dragon in S2 he looks puney. I prefer Spuds hair in S2 though, i didn't like the spikey look. But overall i prefer season 1

I agree, the second season art looks rougher and... kinda ugly.

The second season art is a travesty compared to the first season. All the S2 characters look horrible and obscure looking.

I just started watching the second season and I hate the way the animation changed. The characters don't look right. I really enjoyed the animation in the first season. And in season 2 does Jake stop saying "Dragon up!" and that little animation sequence? Cause I thought it was kinda cool bit of the show. Kinda like Danny Phantom saying "Going Ghost!" and his change animation. I've only watched the first episode of season 2 and I don't remember it happening.
