It's spelled "Zzyzx" Road, NOT Zyzzyx!
Anyone who has ever driven on Highway 15 between LA and Vegas knows that.
And, when I say "morons" I mean the idiots who made this movie, spelled the title and the name of the road incorrectly (for whatever reason), then thought that the millions of people who drive on Highway 15 every year either wouldn't notice the difference or wouldn't care. Do they think we're stupid?

well seeing as the road in the movie is not meant to be Zzyzx but just inspired by it I guess that would be the right way to spell it no?
shareAlso, I think more people would be able to pronounce Zyzzyx as opposed Zzyzx, even if it is inaccurate.
I think it's kind of funny how the original poster's signature says "Enough with the technical stuff" and he's pointing out spelling errors :)
