Release Date?
It was supposed to be released in the fall of '04, and I see it's been making the festival rounds. Has anyone heard if it's coming out sometime soon?

sharesaw it last night and director raymond De Felitta spoke...he said that after the tribeca film festival he hopes it will be picked up by a distributor... let's hope so!
shareAccording to Jeff Wells at hollywood-elsewhere.com:
"Picturehouse, that new HBO/New Line Cinema joint venture being headed by former Newmarket marketing-acquisitions hotshot Bob Berney, has, I feel, acted wisely in acquiring Paul Reiser's The Thing About My Folks. I wrote about this amiable, family-values dramedy after seeing it at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in early February."
And according to picturehousefilms.com they will be releasing it in September 2005.
How cool!
Just saw this wonderful film at the Atlanta Film Festival and this is still correct information. Paul Reisser was at the screening and confirmed it. Still, get out the word to everyone you know to go see this movie. Don't let it get lost amid the big budget films with big advertising budgets. This one is a keeper.
shareYes, it will be released on September, this year.

Thanks- I was in Grad school in the 90's- did not have time to watch TV and just started watching Mad @ You. Will there ever be a reunion?

I saw a screening last night and Reiser and Falk did a Q&A afterwards.
They said the release date is September 16. They are doing a 22-city
tour to promote the film.
Film was good. Needed a much stronger director to work with the
excellent script by Reiser. Also many editing errors as well as logical
ones (in the script), too.
