Y singers should stick 2 singing

RANT on ::Is the movie buisness going to the sh@@ or what? Singers turning to actors ...actors turning into singers. All in the name of making an extra buck. But come on!! What is up with that? Each indiv. should stick with their god given talent. At least if you are going to make millions, really leave a dent!!
Examples:
Lohan, go with your acting cuz your voice sucks
J-LO -just stick to shaking your bon-bon honey
Snoop-RAP, don't even try to act!
RANT OFF--------------------------------------------------------------------
ok now that is cleared up..the movie was alright. Boring, slow but alright overall. The dialogue was delivered poorly (choppy; felt like High school drama class all over again), semi-interesting plot. I had a couple of laughs -esp the dancing scene and the ending. In the beginning i though Snoop's character was a figmant of Lesser's imagination (kinda like Donnie Darko)
Overall-6/10

If you ask me, Lopez is a better actress than singer.

And Will Smith? He was a singer (rapper) before he was an actor. Should he have stuck to singing? Though for the most part, I do agree. Ice T, Ludacris, Snoop, Usher, and 95% of them need to stay out. BUT, there are some great exceptions out there that lead in roles that give credit to there name instead of them obviously being it for the $ and fame of it. Examples, mr Smith like just stated, Mos Def, L.L. Cool J, occassionaly DMX, and a couple others to name a few. Don't hate all of the singers turned acters... just most of them ;)

The rule should be that "most famous people constantly in the public eye should stick with one thing"

I've noticed people not given so much "mainstream" (I hate how people abuse that word but I'm using it for lack of a better word, anyone reading this, feel free to change it for something else) attention have often turned their talents to something else and made it work (Nick Cave writing The Proposition, Ben Lee in The Rage In Placid Lake as examples)

True, 95% or so have no business diversifying their portfolio in the entertainment industry. I don't mind the occassional venture into different genres just for fun like David Bowie or Sting doing occassional movies or Johnny Depp playing impromptu gigs or even Kiefer Sutherland touring with his favorite band as road manager. When I get insulted is when certain stars (cause you can't really call them artists) incessantly do everything they can to make money and be famous. Not to sound like some abnoxious purest but I find it disrespectful and vulgor when nutsacks like 50 Cent shamefully do movies just because they are famous and they know that someone is going to watch it. The same goes for athletes like Shaq. Jerod Leto is a joke. Kevin Bacon should be ashamed of himself and Russell Crow should hang himself. They are both superior actors who spend far too much time being mediocre-at-best rock musicians. Jennifer Lopez is an anomaly. The only thing she's really good at is dancing and being one of the most beautiful and glamorous women in the world. I think her Osar nomination gave her seemingly indistructable acting cred and she's sold almost 10 million albums. She did all this without having significant talent in either. She should be disconnected and have her parts studied. With all that said, Elvis was just as charming on-screen as he was a great singer. Barbra Streisand has been doing both, the best, for the longest. Cher also won an Oscar as well as having comeback after comeback in the music biz. And the list goes on with Will Smith, Queen LaTifa, Courtney Love, Frank Sinatra and Jamie Foxx. Their talent seems to be endless and it seems that they only stand out and shine greater standing next to the abundance of those whose only gift is the greedy irresponsible philandering of money and fame, i.e. Usher, Madonna, Ice Cube, Lil'Kim, etc.

Jennifer Lopez was never nominated for an Oscar.

Yeah, guess it was a Golden Globe.
