Scarlet Feather

As any of you who have read Tara Road know, Maeve Binchy brings characters back in a few of her other books, all linked through Dublin life, Tara Road, or Quentin's it seems. I love her novels, and Tara Road was excellent, but for some reason I was more in love with Scarlet Feather. I was so happy when the characters of Tom and Cathy, and Maud and Simon were brought back in Quentin's (however briefly). I think this would make a wonderful film too...not sure who I would cast in it. I hope Tara Road is released in North America soon. What do you guys think...was Scarlet Feather a hit or miss for you?

I really liked Scarlet Feather and wished it would be made into a movie, or have it's own sequel. Maeve Binchey sure knows how to make you interested in her characters!

I loved Scarlett Feather. When I finished reading it I was left feeling I wanted more and that it would make a gret movie.

I am reading "Scarlett Feather" right now. Just finished "Quentins", and the twins Maude and Simon show up in that book too, a little older and a little better behaved.

Loved it as I do most of her books

I have read most of her books but not Tara Road yet. I just read Scarlet Feather and Quentins. I really loved both of us, those especially Scarlet Feather.

but I find it hard to put her books to film.

She has too many subplots and many complications weaved together.

At the end all the mysteries are solved and everyone is connected. It works in a novel where you can take your time and go back and look up some relationship you forgot about.

But in a movie, forget it. that is why Tara Road the movie was so confusing. Too much going on and not enough time to develop each person. Except for Danny and Benny. They were horrible.

and Polly,,,Yuck. Is that how Dublin people wear their hair??/
