not an evangelic movie..

I watched SC and came away feeling it was a movie meant for the church to give itself an inward look and rediscover what it's goals truly are. The main focus was on how churches get misguided with throwing lifevests to someone 200 feet away while ignoring those within arms reach...(world evangelism over local outreaches)

a very timely movie...although I do not feel it is meant as an outreach to the lost...more as an `attitude check' for churches...in particular `mega' churches!

True, but it could just be meant for people who are witnessing in general. Yeah, churches are probably the most well known for trying to reach out to people, but let's face it...church's aren't the only ones. There are a lot of individuals who try to reach out to people and go a little extreme, so maybe the movie was meant not just for churches but for anyone out there who try to reach those who have the major problems in life and ignoring the ones who are suffering close by.

Just tacking on to what you said, but you made a good point.
