Any words on a DVD release?

I know, I know, it's supposed to be pathetic compared to the 1972 version... but I missed it and I really want to see it. I guess it's probably too early, but does anyone know if a release date has been announced?

I'm still looking for a version with english or german subtitles.
I have a region free DVD player.

Is it really that bad? I LOVED the books. They're my favourites. I fell in love with Druon's writing and for obvious reasons I'm very curious about this series. It saddens me to read it was poorly executed for the screen. Still, I wish I'd be able to watch it some day.

I've been looking for both versions. I'm told that, like the 1972 one, this has been released without subtitles. Any chance of a release with English subs?
