Why didnt morgan freeman help the dying chicks?

As i watched this film i became insensed that the narrator who i thought was a kind caring man of the world, morgan freeman just sat back and watched as many chicks died, anyone agree with me?

Well, I think the one of either two things that any intelligent person would agree on, is that you are either a infintile 10 year old, or you are just some ignorant dupe who somehow believes that Morgan Freeman was acutally on location with the filiming crew and narrating at the times when pengiun chicks were dying. Hmmm...I pick the first. Anyone agree with me?

reply

2 things he probrably wasn't on location as BurnU said. But you have to understand that although it is very sad thing to see animals die especially when they are so innocent, but it is all a big cycle of life and death. They did not want to disturb the natural cycle of the penguins. Besides it was a documentary on the way that penguins live it would be kind of weird if some random camera man or woman came in and saved one of the eggs or rescued a baby penguins. I think that this movie shows a very strong message that life is very tough and only the strongest smartest (or just really lucky:) organisms will survie--survival of the fittest

Im not trying to be all evolution rocks or anything its just such a great movie and thats what I got out of it! and the baby penguins are so adorable

How does it feel to actually fall for this thread?

reply

I don't know how it feels, but I bet the original poster's pleased his post has spawned so much intelligent ethical debate.

Maybe he'll read this and learn insensed is actually spelt in incenced.

reply

It's spelled "incensed".

reply

FYI , there's no such a word as "spelt" it's spelled

But I agree, did this person actually believe Morgan was out there watching and filming the penguins himself?

reply

FYI spelt and spelled both exist, like burnt and burned

reply

I pick the second. Definitely an ignorant dupe.

reply

BurnU, your not great at spotting a troll

reply

hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lol man

reply

even forgetting that originally this movie is in french, and morgan just dubbed it over for american audiences its still funny question:) but i helieve that in heart he really wanted to help chicks;)

reply

Although the original movie was in French, it just so happens that by complete coincidence Morgan Freeman was actually on location explaining everything in English to the camera man. How else could his narration have been so well timed with the events in the movie?!

reply

The filmakers (not Morgan Freeman) wanted to just let the cycle of life happen. They all died of natural causes and to stabilize the population, unfortunately some have to die.

reply

That's like a standard 'rule' for people filming documentaries of the wild, they only observe. Any possible deaths that could occur due to natural causes (i.e. predators, harsh cold) they do not interfere with. It's not right for them to interfere with nature, it's evolution in the making.

reply

Just think: Prime Directive from Star Trek. Observe but never interfere (although one could construe that the mere presence of filming equipment right near the penguins is interference enough).

I heard that Morgan Freeman eats penguin burgers, by the way.

no. its funny. now go home and watch some over-edited stand-up.

"I heard that Morgan Freeman eats penguin burgers, by the way."

GOLD! I roffled.

I can see this as a movie...Morgan Freeman saving baby penguins...

I'd rather be anything but ordinary, please.

reply

I'd pay to see a movie where Morgan Freeman saves baby penguins!

Linda

reply

dude if we saved every dying penguin, we'd be overrun, and it'd be like that Simpsons episode where dolphins take over the world.

Do YOU want that? Really?

I don't. Much as I love pengies.

reply

Neither Morgan Freeman nor any of the other dozen or so narrators for the various languages was on sight. They recorded their narration in a recording studio, not in Antartica. How hard is that to figure out?

Besides, rule #1 of studying nature is NEVER to interfere in anyway whatsoever.

"That which is necessry, is never unwise."
