Fascinating Topic but a Pretty Bad Film

It's not a horrible film -- some of the techniques and jokes are pretty witty in fact -- but the acting is pretty mediocre and the lighting is pretty poor as well. There's something about how this guy approaches the material that irritates me. It's not that I think sexual desire shouldn't be explored frankly (I enjoy the works of Philip Roth, Henry Miller, John Updike, and Woody Allen) but there's something about the delivery of this film that comes off flat. I understand the film had a rather limited budget but a lot of it is really hard to watch. Virtually all of the female counterparts to Zahedi are much better at acting than he is. Nevertheless, I wouldn't be opposed to watching it again to see if my opinion would change.
