Donnie Darko, the boring version

This film is pretty bad. Imagine a disaster film like Armageddon, but instead of following around the people who are trying to do something about it, you follow around a family with relationship issues. It meanders like there truly is no tomorrow. It also finds a way to blame Bush's lack of climate concerns on the Sun swelling up and killing us all. No amount of polluting Earth or cleaning it will affect the Sun, for goodness sakes people!

Oh and there is a kid (horrible actor) who may or may not have powers; much like Donnie Darko. But, this time around there isn't a twist that leaves you thinking. Every 30 minutes or so there is one cleaver line, but even with that accounted for it is horrendously boring to watch characters who do nothing interesting to produce a reasonable story.
