Who was the real terrorist?

That is the question I was left with after watching this movie. I know it's controversial, but this is a question that needs to be asked. We, as Americans, are so quick to call people in other countries terrorists and smugly believe ourselves to be morally superior to "them". Watching this film, though, you can't help but realize that we Americans employ the same torture tactics that "they" do. Not only that, but we drop bombs on other countries and call it "humane". How is our bombing of Iraq (the wrong country, btw) different from 9/11? I realize the logistics are different, of course, but the end result is the same. We kill innocent people. "They" kill innocent people. If we're being completely honest with ourselves, are "they" the terrorists? Or are we? Or, is there really any difference between us and "them" at all?
