the actors

although this movie is in french, and im not fluent in that, im seeing this movie when it comes out because it seems like a good movie! the trailers show a family or 2 with sons who appear to be gay. (and they are not bad looking) the trouble is, i couldn't figure out what the title to this movie was because it's theatrical poster showed it in tiny tiny cursive...took a few random guesses to crack it :)

extra medication for all!

It's fun and frothy French entertainment and all the actors are personable and engaging.

A breeze of fresh air.

I thought this was one of the worst films ever. Up there with "Le Divorce" ... which I guess isn't all that French, but still...

The last review has it right. This film is so in love with itself that it really exudes condescention and arrogance from a high-profile sect of French society.

I smirked here and there, but mostly I chagrinned. It was cliche in some parts, under exposed in others, and the rest was just a mess.

There's no reason for the married couple to be together in the first place. And for a country that's so "enlightened" (supposedly), there sure does seem to be an awful lot of repression for such a forward and open society (allegedly).

The wife doesn't care about her husband, her husband doesn't care about his family, and, in fact, no one cares about anyone else.

It's like a bad Starbucks mocoa. All froth and no body.

And a song and dance number at the end? Give me a break.

In the words of Robert Townsend doing his At the Movies parody in "Hollywood Shuffle"; "I give this movie... the finger." :)

First you accuse this movie of showing a typically french arrogance, and then about the story something like "what a surprise for such a enlightened country". I think there's a little contradiction here...
If French cinema is able to produce movies criticizing the French society, maybe it means French people are not that pretentious...
And when you talk about clichés, "the French condescension" is a big one. Hopefully, you don't make movies, do you ?

I meant that one part as sarcasm.
