carbon copy of 28 days later

I've seen countless direct-to-video carbon copies of popular movies for years.

It's like a game you could play with your buddies:

- Tyler arrives, doesn't know what's going on; Jim awakens, doesn't know what's going on
- Red stuff instantly turns people into murderous zombies; Stuff in blood instantly turns people into raged murderers
- Tyler is taken into a small shack with a few other survivors; Jim is taken into a small store with two other survivors
- The crew makes their way out of the camp and gets shot at, then rescued; Jim and company almost get shot at, then rescued
- Crew gets taken in by a makeshift camp full of hotheads and wackos; Jim and company are taken in by a makeshift base full of hotheads and wackos;
- Tyler gets some action; Jim almost gets some action, but it's too soon
- Crazy Ramon is disregarded, later killed; Slighty-crazy Sergeant Farrell is disregarded, later killed
- Anderson wants some action; Soldiers want some, too.
- Carter lets zombies into the camp; Jim leads infected into base
- Blood sprays everywhere; Blood sprays everywhere
- 28 Days Later is good; Severed is... uh...

the scene where the older black man...i think his name was mack...turns is pretty much a carbon copy of the scene where the father turns in 28 days later, even down to the dramatic violin music...another thing, the soundtrack was clearly going for that creepy ambient synthesizer music, just like 28 days later. this film is such a waste of time. although, to be fair, the part where a character lets a ton of zombies into the "fortress" was first done in day of the dead....also, that whole gate that they lift to let zombies in so they can uh, do target practice, is lifted straight from day of the dead as well.
