It's good

Better than many of the last zombie movies. Better than Land of the dead, of course...
It's totally simmilar to 28 days later, but with slow zombies.
The zombies are scarying. Very good FX.
Strange and violent camera movements.
Lumberjacks Vs. enviromental activists instead the typical Army Vs. Scientifics of Day of the dead or Army Vs. Citycens (in 28 days later).
Good point of people bounded to a trees in a woods plenty of walking dead... =)
6'5 of 10 (better than an average film in my oppinion).

I watched this film the weekend at the Dead by Dawn Festical in Scotland.

What a pile of crap.... being a huge fan of zombie horror i was greatly disapointed by this god awful film.
Cliched to the point that you think your watching several other zombie films that have previoulsy been made, and he script is even worse!
Mac the head of the lumberjacks tells the others, how he always loved and wanted boys had everyone in the audience laughing.
i wasted an hour an a half watching this tripe, and id suggest you stay cleasr of it.
oh yeah... and what a whore the main female character is. One moment her boyfriend is eaten by the living dead to which she is obviously upset, and then later that night she jumps into bed with someone else.

I think some of you are too harsh.
If you watch every movie expecting to see a classic (ie, great acting, great spFX, etc), you'll probably be disappointed most of the time.
Sometimes, you need to appreciate low budget horror for what it is. Understand that it's not going to hold up if you pick apart every minute detail or try to make sense of everything....It's a MOVIE!!

Just watch it, have a beer (or two) and enjoy!

You're lucky fridunando, because if these zombies scared you then I suppose you could be scared by just about anything.

This wasn't the worst zombie movie ever, but it was still pretty terrible. I would say that it has one similarity to 28 days later, rather than being "totally simmilar".

The story was slow, dull and predictable, except for the ending which made no sense. This movie adds nothing to the genre but more of the same redone.

I enjoyed this film. I thought it was a nice little Grade B zombie splatter horror flick.

I enjoy keeping busy. Satan finds work for idle hands.

I found this at Wal-Mart on DVD for Five Dollars and Fifty Cents. Knowing nothing about the film except the description on the DVD case, I got it because I liked the cover art. That and I love zombie movies. Watched it a couple nights ago. Ended up I enjoyed it way more then I anticipated. Out of 10 stars, I would rate it a solid seven. No super zombies. Effects are good. And something about environmental activists being turned into the walking dead that I found very gratifying.

I second that, GBrown. I'm a sucker for low budget and straight-to-DVD horror, so I took a chance on this being that it was only $5.50. I'm glad I got it. Now while I wouldn't pay full price for this movie, it was good for what we spent on it. The only problem I have, as it happens in a lot of zombie movies is that when someone is killing a zombie and the blood splatters on their face, why don't they get infected?

You know, I love my low budget horror movies too but this was not good! Lol, sorry, I hated it. It could have been better, not in a good movie way but in a good low budget piece of crap way that ends up in my dvd collection, like The Convent.

I agree. It wasn't the best zombie movie ever, but it was a lot better than some. I fail to so how it can be called a ripiff of 28 Days Later. The last 20 min or so have a somwhat similar thing to 28 Days.....but nothing more (I don't count the environmentalists....environmentalists aren't people.). It had prety good acting, JR Bourne, a completly different and unique environment, which I'm pretty sure hasn't actually been done before, and still manages to focus on the characters. That, and while there was plenty of violenece, it's realism wasn't ladden down with swearing (Seriously, I'm almost certain *beep* wasn't said) and sex/nudity. While I do like those things, the lack of it seemed more......real.

They showed this on ChillerTV the other day and like some of you, I found it to be way better than I expected and surely better than most of what airs on Chiller. I thought the production values and acting for a low-budget film were surprisingly good and the location shots lent it some realism that is generally absent from these types of films. My only real problem with it was the abrupt ending (seemed almost like an editing issue) and with some other plot points not being fully resolved, but other than that, better than most at the lower end of this genre...6.5 out of 10 for me. And Sarah Lind (Rita) is an attractive actress and I will definitely be on the lookout for more of her work.
