Moral of the Story?

Seriously, I've seen the review, and is there any moral to this at all, besides "don't help a black woman out of her car when it's about to fall into a lake?"

And was there even a good reason to kill off almost all the characters? No unlikable traits, even?

If the answer to both of these is no, you've got yourself one crappy movie.

Actually, horror film directors usually justify murders in slasher flicks so that the audience gets a sense of justice having been done in some sick way. For example, usually teen sex is a capital offense in a horror movie.

How can you really expect a moral from a horror movie? Not to mention a B class type? Are you serious?

I thought it was don't make fun of people because they could die, become possessed by evil spirits and will come and kill you. Seriously, it's a horror film.

I like John Carpenter's explanation on the whole sex and drugs thing. He said the characters weren't dying because they were having sex and doing drugs. They were dying because they were being stupid and not paying attention to what's going on around them. Granted he was talking about Halloween specifically but it fits for pretty much all slasher movies.

Who says violence is not the answer?
