...when?

I heard it is coming out this fall.

But is that true?

I saw that there is a movie called All Souls Day going to be on the Sci Fi channel in June- Saturday June 11th at 9 PM. It's listed as a World Premiere.

Have no idea if it's this one as I can't find any other details on it- no cast listing or anything. Pretty usual for Sci Fi.

this link on scifi.com says the premiering movie was written by mark altman: http://www.scifi.com/events/event.php3?event_id=11160

and mark altman wrote the "all soul's day" that has jeffrey combs listed in the credits: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0428212/

so, ipso facto, i think this is it!

reply

Damn!

"All Soul's Say" should have been a theatrical feature, a horror film with zombies for the big screen, not some dumb TV-sh*t.

reply

i agree, but i'll take what i can get!

reply

I was on the set; and with the nudity and violence I witnessed, I doubt it will premiere on Sci-Fi. I actually just read that it has already been premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22, 2005. Plus; there is the gratuitous sex and even more nudity and violence mixed together I was told about by other BG's from other scene's. I don't want to give away too much.

It is confirmed:

Damn! I hate sh*tty horror flicks for TV.

WOW. I guess you're right. I'm surprised they will be able to show this on sci-fi. From what I've witnessed on the set; there is going to be a lot cut out. That's what I really hate is movies be shown on public channels that get hacked up just so they can be aired. I think I'll wait to see it on DVD and catch all of it.

Let's hope that some day an unrated DVD will appear...

the same thing happened to beyond re-animator...it premiered on scifi as well, but had a lot cut out of it to make it suitable for basic cable.

reply

Heard that. Some things are just a waste of time putting it on edited like that. It just ends up taking it away from the movie. That's why I very rarely watch feature films on TV.

All the nudity and gore in the world, would not save this reeking, steaming, pile of sh@t. Sci Fi "exclusive" movies are universally wads of butt crust. But this thing would choke a dung beetle.

reply

you know what i saw dog soliders on sci fi and i loved that movie...i have yet to see it on dvd but if they cut some stuff out...cause it was pretty damn gory on sci fi then i got to see the dvd....so if a movie on sci fi is good and they cut some stuff out it makes it better when it comes out on dvd.....my opinion anyway....

reply

On set or not, just because gratuitous sex and violence is filmed, it doesn't mean that it can't premiere on a cable station. As always, there's a ton of editing for t.v. and then it comes out a month later on DVD with all of the 'yummy morsels' intact.

May your nightmares come true.

reply

Yeah; that's understood now. Other than made for TV programs, I was just always under the impression that it premieres usually in theatre, on cable movie channels, or on DVD. Then; when the money is made, it shows up edited on networks. Now I understand it can go either way. Oh well; live and learn.

Well since it is following Resident Evil amd has mucho commerco...kinda
hard to be hard on this one. Seems pretty average. Low budg w/o any real
campy lines. Does a few novel twists like the polo boy in leg braces.
Great way to get a little sympathy for character then do him in. Hot sister
helps too. give 6.5 of 10 just for the effort.
Wouldn't go out of my way for it but if just looking to kill couple and are
a true fan of the genre then give it a try or record & spin thru comms.

reply

yeah, it does not seem too bad so far

Ok, this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a movie in awhile.

The blonde parks the car on the wrong side so the black guy runs into a mob og zombies. I mean how stupid can you be, why not simply get in the back seat. He saw the zombies all there, did he really think he stood a chance?
The director of this movie is up there with Boll on some of the worst directors of all time.

Oh come on now people -- I don't care how big a horror film fan you are (and I am), this thing was just unspeakably awful. Just incredibly bad, and I don't care if their were susposed to be nice boobs and buckets of blood flying all over the place. It would still have been utter crap. Just crap hiding behind T&A and plenty of blood.

At some point you have to have SOME standards, some basic expectation of a coherent plot or professional direction, actors etc. But this thing is just insulting.

reply

So I guess the hype is over... Is it really THAT bad?

UZUMAKI

reply

Yep.
