In my Opinion i think Sunrise is a show
that was bad from the start. Seven is trying really
hard to get nines ratings but i think Sunrise
brings out the worst in seven as it is just a remake
of the today show airing on nine, the only things different are the station, the name and the people but the stories and the layout of it is the same.
Dont be fooled by this remake!

Koch makes me cringe... Nine's Today isn't that bad as it actually has a purpose as a breakfast news show. Sunrise is just a farce.

the show would be less painfull if they got rid of Melissa and Koch.... also, both are constant offenders of slipping in personal remarks relating to news stories.. little bit of bias going on hey...also both are a bit right-winged for me!
so since this a board of sunrise haters i just thought i'd make the point that i like the show and the majority of people i know also like it. all the presenters are so warm and they actually seem like they enjoy what they do. the channel 9 crew are trying to hard to be a serious evening news show first thing in the morning. who wants to wake up to that first thing? it has its bad points but i think its a great way to start the day off
shareReij... i'm not a sunrise hater. i love it! i watch it every morning before work. Today show used to be alright, but now it is awful, carl is so stiff, he has no personality whatsoever!
Mel, Kochie, Beretts and Nat, they're great to watch in the morning. they're much more down-to-earth and personable. I find it much easier to wake up in the morning watching them. Kochie was a bit hard to get used to, and at first i thought he was a bit of a tool, but i've gotten used to him now!

yay good to hear!! i think if you want something serious you have channel 10 at 6am. if you want a good start to the day you have sunrise!

Yeah Wade, I prefer Today as well, although Karl is a bit wooden. Melissa Doyle strikes me as a bit of an airhead. She probably isn't but it's just the way she comes across. Interesting to see other people here don't like David Koch. Neither do I. I reckon he's a ponce who's got his own head way too far up his own ar$e.
Anyway, Today has one asset that Sunrise doesn't have - Sharyn Ghydella! hubba! hubba! hubba!

shareI'm from the United Kingdom myself, and i've only seen one episode of Sunrise on youtube (to see Il Divo on it) and i'm ever so curious as to how David Koch's surname is pronounced. I can't seem to say it without making it sound immensely rude. Can anyone help? It might be that Australian accents make it sound different, because with an English accent i cannot make it sound decent.
shareit's pronouced Kosh, its a dutch name. i like kochie, his a really nice person and when i met him he actually gave me time of day. i have not met aby of the today cast but jessica makes me mad for some reason, karl seems really snobby and richard seems like a creep. i prefer sunrise they seem to give the fans more of a chance and today is copying it now.
