Sweet Land has not yet found a distributor but it has accepted an invitation to its first Film Festival - The Hamptons October 19-23. They plan to provide a screening for folks in Montevideo the following week - perhaps the 25th or 26th. You should see an announcement soon.

I saw it and it was amazing. A lot of the actors did attend: Tim Guinee, Elizabeth Reaser, Ned Beatty, John Heard, Patrick Heusinger, Alex Kingston, etc. Best of all, the film won the audience award for Best Narrative Film and it was all I heard people talk about the whole weekend.

shareI really hope Sweet Land will be screened at more film festivals (especially in my town!).
Right after the hamptons I emailed the director and he kindly replied and wrote that no distribution yet.. and also told me to keep checking their official website.
I hope someone with more news will respond soon.
