...as seen on Rottentomatoes.com, and that will change, as Richard Roeper's thumbs up, with his guest critic (oh I hope Roger Ebert is getting a DVD sent to his home), will push it up to maybe 95%!!! And there are more cities to hit with influential critics in them, like Seattle, San Francisco and San Diego.

The next couple of weeks will be key, as awards groups like National Board of Review, and critics groups, name their favorites, as well as the Golden Globe nominations before Christmas.

I'm emailing everyone i know in the LA area to go see this film, as it's still playing in 4 theaters. And one in Chicago. If any of you know anyone in those cities, email them with a link to the website with its great trailer that pops up right away.

And no, I don't work for the film or the distributor. I'm just an industry savvy lover of this film, and I want more people to know about it. Nominations and critics prizes will help immensely!!

Dec 23 -- I just saw this film in San Francisco. My husband and I were the only ones in the theater. We both agree that this film is truely awful. It is so slow paced and devoid of any real story. We see over 80 films a year and this one has to be one of the worst. It sort of reminded us of Bent Hamer's Kitchen Stories, but that movie has a payoff in the end and leaves you with a nice feeling. This one does not. Wow, how disappointing.

My husband and I just saw this film last night in Philadelphia and thought it was excellent. It was a peaceful interlude in the middle of a busy holiday season. The two lead actors were remarkable. Be sure to see it!!

For the San Francisco couple.

Well, Christmas Eve is a slow day overall for films, so that's not a surprise.
But I'm sorry you don't share the opinion of most everyone else who's seen the film, including the additional reviewers that have raised its Rottentomatoes.com positive-reviews rating to 94%. (Tied with LETTERS TO IWO JIMA and one percentile more than THE DEPARTED.)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but "truly awful"? That boggles my mind that such a lovely film would have you think that.

And no payoff? Did we see the same film? I see a ton of films every year too, and this is the first one in a long while that had me choked up at the end, without going over the top with emotional button-pushing.

It's nice to see a Romance without all that Hollywood cheese. Exclusive clips are at WingClips.com
