Sweet Land has been nominated for two Film Independent Spirit Awards! Elizabeth Reaser was nominated for Best Female Lead and Ali Selim et al were nominated for Best First Feature. The award ceremony will be held on February 27 and broadcast on the Independent Film Channel. In the mean time, keep spreading the word about this great film.

But I'm not gonna quibble. There was a good chance this film could have gotten NO nominations, so the 2 it got were pretty damn good. Anything to help more people know about it.
I agree with all that's been said here. What a *wonderful* film! I just saw a screener of it for the first time two nights ago. The story in Olaf's eyes when he sees Inge through the camera lens haunts me. Now I have something to really look forward to in watching Film Independent's Spirit Awards. Well, this and Pan's Labyrinth. By far, the best movies I saw all year.
Hell, that's the most I spoke in a year.
