Is it worth buying?
This is a stupid question...but...I really liked the first two.
And i would like to buy this one too.

Definitely.
Visually, its a lot better. Story wise, it's the same - I mean in terms of depth.
The controls, though, are what really do it - they feel a lot smoother and more natural, and make it seem like Sam really is there in the environment.
At the risk of sounding cliche, or coming off like the previews to some cheesy sequel for a great movie...
If you liked the first one, you'll LOVE Chaos Theory. As stated above, the controls are easier to manage, the graphics are better, the game-play itself is much smoother...
I played Chaos Theory first, then bought Splinter Cell (the 1st one) at a used store for $3. I'm only through the 2nd level, and I have to tell you... I'm tempted to just toss it. I got so used to the controls on Chaos Theory that I'm finding that it's more of a nuisance to figure out the controls on Part I than it seems worth.

get the xbox version, the ps2 has to many loading screens and a not as open level design
