the end *spoilers*

so i understand that the main character (jen) is a liar and perhaps that is why irving schwartz made the last scene so unclear...did the police officer (jason) shoot her or did she shoot herself? or was there another shooter? 'cause the bullet hole in the door made it look like the bullet had to have come from the outside of the house. and even if she did shoot herself, she put the gun to the side of her head, not the front of her head, so the exit wound wouldnt be where the bullet hole is shown. this is not even mentioning the fact that we never even see her dead. just rolling her eyes around with a trickle of blood dripping down.

i hope schwartz isn't planning a sequel where she recovers from brain damage... *rolls eyes*

on a side note, this had to be one of the most frustrating and annoying movies i have seen in a long time. its like the writer/director had an okay idea for a movie but had no idea how to bring it to life. everytime i thought it might break out into a halfway decent movie, it fell flat on its face again.

i just saw this movie today and i agree with you on the hole in the door thing. it's confusing. i think it's as simple as she shot herself, but only had a flesh wound and the bullet ended up going through the door. i wish schwartz had made it more clear. i also wish the editing was better. i was really annoyed with the fact that every time the scene ended, it would fade. i'm seriously burned out on fades right now!

A whole lot of patience and time. To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it right.

Yeah, I also agree 100% with what you have to say about the movie. I only saw it recently and I realize it's been out for a long time so sorry if you don't get to read this response... or you probably figured out the end already, but this is how I see it: Remember when the doctor told her she has a strange perception on things, well that also includes how people treat her and it seems that she always feels like the things in her life that have gone wrong are somebody else's fault and that she can't help herself because she is constantly helping others... Well in the end, what I think the director was trying to achieve was to explain what I just said. The bullet hole in the door represented how she saw others, that THEY shot her, not that she shot herself. It represented their driving her to shoot herself and that it wasn't entirely her decision. I hope that makes sense... at least, that's what I got out of the movie. LOL

i totally disagree on the acting
i thought that jason was very painful to watch, and i'm sorry :) but sometimes jen was a bit unbearable
the parents were great though, i love her mom she's so... strange.
this movie was a whole depress-fest, and steven made me mad he was so.. mean. i'm glad he got addicted to heroin he deserves it lol

also the jumps between fade-to-black's and the next scenes were HUGE like stupidly big. i wanted to see the date with jen and steven, or even a short scene of her in the hospital. in the beginning it really was an "emo-kid flick" but in the sense of "this movie is going nowhere" then it suddenly has a moral. then she dies. like, wtf?? the only reason i rented this movie was to see seth meyers anyway. .... i mean, oh screw it i fast-forwarded to the scenes he was in lmao well okay i watched the important scenes but there were none so the end.
