Worlds better than some of his recent DTV stuff.
Now, maybe it's because I just watched this after the dire "Kill Switch" and abominable "Against The Dark", but "Mercenary for Justice", while a bit convoluted, was at least well filmed and entertaining. The only Seagal body doubles I spotted were in 2 or 3 tiny, minor scenes, and I think I heard two dubbed lines in the beginning and that was that. The fights were all Seagal, and thats what counts.
Good acting from Roger Guenver Smith and Luke Goss is a plus, too, as they helped carry this thing along. I haven't seen "Today You Die" yet, but this and "Urban Justice" have me convinced that Don FauntleRoy is at least a competent filmmaker, and being the DP also, he knows how to shoot a film.
BTW, maybe I missed something, but where did Bulldog come from, who did he work for originally?
