I have the power!

"No no, you listen to me. I have the money right? Which means I have the power."

"I have the money, I have the power! I have the POWER!"

I don't know why, maybe it's the voice, maybe it's context within the movie, but those lines above are amongst the most memorable from all movies.

did you also watch this on tv in the uk?

reply

Yeah I did! Decent watch. Hadn't heard of it, but glad I stuck with it. I tend to like these slice of Americana type films like this one and I did here too.

I finally saw this movie yesterday, and it was definitely a strong scene. It gave me chills. He's been through hell and felt like he couldn't do much of anything, and then he finally finds strength and power in this situation. I love it!

A bit of the old ultraviolence...

9 years later and that line still sticks with me. The way JGL says it gives me chills. A masterful performance in a perfect movie.
