Deputy Donut (spoilers)

That guy went out like a champ. They set him up as kind of a bumbling nice guy, he even looked about ready to piss his pants when he realized the robbery was in progress.

Then his training kicks in, and he guns down most of the heist team before they finally shoot him in the back. Such a fantastic scene, and very tragic.

After that shooting, he spends a few months in the hospital, after which he gets promoted to Canada's SRU where he's mostly in charge of tech aspects of operations because of injuries sustained while bringing doughnuts to Mr. Gordon-Levitt.

They shot him in the head when he lay dying from the shot to the bqck.

I really thought that was well done. Most movies would have the "clumsy cop" kind of character like him be blown away with ease, but he actually put up a good fight.

I thought he did very well. Such a shame that he had to buy the farm when he was such a nice and wife literally just about to drop.

Reminded me, from a skill level, of the off duty cop in Point Break that did such a standout job before being killed.

A shame that in the characters 'happy endibg' that they couldn't spare a thought for the deputy.

Saddest part of the whole movie was this guy being killed the day his child was going to be born. I was surprised he acquitted himself so well in the gunfight. Up until that point they had portrayed him as the kind of small town cop who would be completely out of his depth if anything bigger than a traffic violation was going on.

Cops are scum. I always root for them to be killed.
Glad he got it.
