Link with Budbringeren ?

In Budbringeren (1997), Robert Skjærstad plays a mailman who stalks a woman and hence manages to save her from a suicide attempt.

In Hawaii Oslo, he plays a paramedic and gets called to rescue a woman who just attempted suicide. Upon getting there, he says something to the effect that the first time he met the unconscious woman, she was in a condition just like that.

I wonder if this is a voluntary cross-movie reference, even though the character has a different name (and job) in both movies.
