While he had some effeminate mannerisms, he wasn't a homosexual. The two are not one-and-the-same and we've all known effeminate guys who weren't homosexual. I knew a couple in the Marines. The proof is in the pudding: In the film Timothy had a GIRLfriend, not a boyfriend; and they were close enough that she willingly lived & died with him.
As such, your post is tantamount to speculative slander.
If you explore the net, both newsworthy reviews and psychological hypotheses of Treadwell, you'll see that I'm not in the minority in coming to this conclusion. Do you always accuse people of slander when their opinions or reviews aren't the same as yours? Being in a heterosexual relationship isn't evidence of one's sexual preferences; Rock Hudson, Anthony Perkins, and the list goes on. It's not an insult but an observation.

This fallacious argument suggests that something is automatically true if enough people believe it and that something is automatically false if a minority believes it.
Slander is to say something untrue of a person; usually something the person wouldn't like. Whether Treadwell was a little foppish or not is irrelevant. The facts show that he preferred women in sexual/romantic relationships; if not, there would've been a DUDE in his tent when he got eaten alive. share

shareI'm just going by the data presented in the film: Treadwell had a woman in his tent, not a dude, nor a woman and a dude. That tells me he was heterosexual despite some effeminate mannerisms. I was in the Marines years ago and one of the guys in one platoon had effeminate traits, but when we went into town to party he always picked up a babe. So foppish characteristics alone can be deceiving.

So, sure, he preferred bears as far as viewing animals goes, but in sexual/romantic relations he obviously preferred women. Again, it was a WOMAN sharing his tent, not a dude (nor a bear). What is it about this that eludes you?
And, by the way, I never said I had insight to EVERYTHING about Treadwell and his potential psychoses. I'm simply going by the evidence IN THE FILM.
