I thought the same thing.

I feel the same way about the scene where Timothy's "widow" is given his watch. The lines spoken by the coroner in that bit felt not only rehearsed but written. It reminded of something from a reality tv show. It felt like the original coroner could not be found so they hired an actor to play him and forgot to tell the guy the movie was a documentary.

The coroner was real, believe it or not. He died just three years after this documentary came out.
