Did anyone else like Farmer's imaginary dance scene with Samantha? It came completely out of left field for me and they had some pretty awesome moves.
On the topic matter... yeah, at 14 Farmer was jailbait so even if Samantha had been attracted to him, nothing good would have come of it. 4 years is a pretty huge gap at that age given how rapidly most people mature in their teens. I would say that Farmer was very mature for his age but still, from an 18 year old girl's POV, he was probably mostly a little kid.
As for Lowe, he was kind of a lost soul. Staying out late in bars and getting into fights isn't really proper for a teenager (he could handle himself though). He was an orphan and claimed that his grandparents took care of him but it looked more to me like he was on his own. Of course, no 18 yo would want to admit that he's afraid so it was easier to put on a tough, bad boy act. He didn't really want to hurt people, he just lacked a proper sense of direction. At least until that night in Boston.
