Did anyone actually watch this movie Monday night? It has to be one of the poorest Holiday and Christmas movies ever put on film. Just horrible. Not bad as far as content, but just plain bad in the execution of putting a believable actress in the lead role. Ms. Donovan was just amatuerishly awful! Watching her and her inane facial expressions just made me cringe with embarrassment in the privacy of my own home. That's not acting. It's truly "Clueless" in the fact of casting this young woman to anything more than a walk-on role.

I saw it tonight (Friday) and didn't think it was nearly as bad as you said it was. It had an interesting storyline and was sweet in its own way. I didn't notice that her acting was bad. If there were "bad" parts in the movie, it would be things that were out of place - an outdoor wedding on Christmas Day? Wearing no jackets or anything while outside during the wedding, and it starts snowing? Setting up an ecommerce site in about one day - with 1996 software and a dial-up? Promoting an "online sales" computer station inside the bookstore?

But overall, I liked it. I saw the movie on Lifetime, so I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised.

the name of the band is "The Calling" the song is "Wherever You Will Go"

Frankly, I just watched this movie (German dub) and I find Elisa's "facial expressions" as sweet and natural as can be. In fact, I fall in love with her every time I see her on TV. It was a great contribution to my Christmas evening (here in Germany "main" Christmas in on 24th [Heilig Abend]), and I must admid I shed quite a few tears.

I saw the movie today in Germany and hey it was nice to see, really a Lifetime Movie for a woman and I am a woman so I liked it. After the three A christmas Carol movies I saw yesterday it was a change.

Well Christmas as come round again and they have started showing this on Sky in the UK - and I must admit I quite enjoyed it

Its shown a few times on Sky in the UK. Its alright, very similar to The Family Man, I do think Ms. Donovan is attractive.

I usually like movies like this, but I have had enough after an hour. For God's sake, it's 1996, not 1956! Like tofu was completely unheard of in 1996! Or Pilates, for that matter.
