Watch This Movie For A Hilarious Time Read To Find Out Why!

I put this on saw that Michael K Williams from hbo's the wire, Steven Bauer from Scarface and Giancarlo Esposito from such classics as Fresh, Do The Right Thing and King Of New York all had starring roles...

So sadly I gave it the benefit of the doubt but it became so bad that it was good, let me point out the humor-

>The opening looks like the cameraman read a book called "HOW TO COPY SHAKEY CAMERA MOVEMENT FROM THE SHIELD FOR DUMMIES"

>Steven Bauer is hilarious trying to be a tough cop someone needs to get this guy laid so he can just chill out instead of expecting his criminals to give in and testify after trying to play good cop then when they refuse which can be seen coming a mile away to everyone except Steven Bauer he flips out and a cop chick about 4 feet holds him back.

>The father who has lost his son and is so troubled by it all he can think to so is drink Jack Daniels in every shot and oh so easily find out alott of confidential information about a prison through a couple of clicks on google. Oh the father has also lost his wife which is told through hilarious flashbacks as a futile attempt to get the audience to understand this mans only motive is revenge when it should be acting school.

>The father rather than practicing making somesort of shiv/blade for inside the prison makes a gun out of paper machet and a big elastic band(I KID YOU NOT).

>The father called Michael by the way decides the best way to get himself into prison by cold bloodingly beating a police officer with one pool ball in a sock and the beating which looks like it would probably gave the cop a broke jaw at most manages to paralyse him by the way. After giving the beating, Michael cool as ice sparks up a cigarette awaiting arrest with a very poor "I'M A BADASS" look on his face that belongs in a DMX music video.

>The prison okay where to begin 1. The "daddy" of the prison played by Sticky Fingaz is nothing but a very bad impression of a young Lawrence Fishburne, 2. Every scene looks like it's trying to be OZ infact Tom Fontana should sue, 3. Every scene in the jail it seems there's only 15 prisoners and from what I hear most american prisons problem is overcrowding, 4. Every prison employee apart from Giancarlo Esposito is a female a small female at that just didn't make sense when you think it out.

>The scene where the father meets the killer of his son okay comedy genius and not on purpose.. the killer introduces himself saying people call me dirty curt then Michael says I'm Michael people call me Mike that just cracked me up because of how serious his expression was. Also in this scene the killer of the man's son rather than saying he seen the other suspect whos dead killing the child and that it was him who was completely responsible and he had then in turned killed the real killer on the inside but no he just spills the beans and admits it.

>Michael oh so quickly recreates his gun and hides it in the wall in his cell so blatantly obvious to see to any prison guard on their routine cell searches.

>The final showdown which is arranged by the female guard for reasons unknown, they fight, this being like their third time ever meeting after Dirty Curt beats up Mike as people call him he stands over him and they reconsile because Dirty Curt helps Mike up then suddenly everything is okay.

>Oh and Mike is killed on the long walk back to their cells by a man sent in by the vengeful apparently crippled from a couple of whacks with one pool ball police officer, then Dirty Curt who has walked back infront of the female guard with the gun Michael made so vividly and blatantly hanging out of his back pocket but she must have went temporarily blind or something he uses the gun to kill the man who stabbed Mike. Keep in mind Dirty Curt hardly knows Mike but he cradles him in his arms screaming SOMEBODY HELP!!! like its a scene from a soap.

>Apparently you only get 3 years after shooting a man point blank range in the head in prison, so 3 years later Dirty Curt goes to show respect to Mikes grave pouring booze on the grave very boys in the hood esque even though Dirty Curt this badass criminal only met this guy about 3 times in jail and has apparently became completely reformed.

I feel bad for the few good members of cast and the amazingly cool song, Inner City Blues by Marvin Gaye being wasted on this.
It is extremely hard to find bad film making like this so enjoy...

P.s. it's funnier stoned.

Your review was hilarious and right on target.

I am crazy about Michael K. WIlliams so that was the main drawing card to this movie for me and I can still watch it because of him. Beyond him, this movie is pretty hard to take...a story with plotholes you can drive a truck through, pedestrian direction, and some really ridiculous performances (Boris Kojoe and Steven Bauer in particular). Still, there are worse ways to spend 90 minutes.

The scenes of him making his own zip gun are hysterical.

4. Every prison employee apart from Giancarlo Esposito is a female a small female at that just didn't make sense when you think it out.

Yeah, that did seem kind of strange that Esposito was the only male corrections officer.

Everything you wrote was funny and sadly true. i laughed my ass off all the way through the movie. Especially the end. Your final 3 points took the words right out of my mouth. Funny as hell.
One question, Where you high when you watched it the first time? The reason I asked is because I had seen it before but I waited good until my brother and his friend were high (weed) and I watched it with them. There reactions could have made for a funny movie itself. I never laughed so hard in my life.
