Julie's accent

What was up with her accent? It was all over the place! What was she supposed to be?

reply

I have no idea, but it was fake, and pathetic and i hated it

It's a moo point.

Go *beep* yourself, you pretentious, stereotyping prick. It's a wonder your country's stereotype is being total *beep* what with totally upstanding gentleman such as yourself.

The knack to flying lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.

I don't know but it was SO annoying. I like this movie, but she is the only thing about the movie that I dislike. I'd rather look at Darla than listen to Julie talk.

Her hair drove me nuts. WTH kind of hairstyle was that?

robin, get in the batmobile!

reply

I thought she looked and sounded great.

Her accent also threw me. In the beginning of the film, she just sounded like an average American. Then, midway through, suddenly her French accent comes out. I was stunned. I actually rewound to the start of the movie and realized her French accent had been there then, but just not as pronounced.

Odd.

reply

I thought she always had a french accent. I knew it was a french accent. She never sounded odd to me.

She just has a realistic french accent. Not an exaggerated movie french accent, but one that happens to go unnoticed until you have listened to her for a while. i also went back to the beginning and realized that it was always there, I just wasn't looking for it at the start. It is a cute accent, and she is very cute.

I like this kind of movie. I think the humor is a bit inaccessible to some people, but maybe that's why I enjoy it more than those movies that are directed to the widest audience possible.

reply

It wasn't fake.
It wasn't "all over the place."

Stephanie is a French actress, and her accent was very much French.

She was playing a hot actress, her accent was spot on for that.

I don't believe any attempt was ever made to say that she was American-born or raised. I simply thought she was French-American. It wasn't a big deal. And I don't think she was trying to cover it either. It worked.

i figured it was a french accent and that she was most likely french based on this, but then again, i'm not retarded.
