Worth my Buck?

I'm no stranger to Mockumentries and I think that this one sounds like it could be clever, if done right. So far, people have been giving it average reviews, nothing A worthy, but others have labeled it mediocre and a waste of time. Who should I believe? Are the people who saw the movie and hated it not a big fan of British Comedy? I find it a riot, which may help.
If you could, post back.

I love British comedy, particularly The Office. In comparison to this film, I would rather have a root canal. I want my buck back, (plus damages).

I would rather have a beer bottle in front of me than a pre-frontal lobotomy.

DCGOTH is pretty much spot on. Liking British comedy has nothing to do with this film. I am British and love our comedy and am proud of it. I only knew that Stephen Mangan was in this and was pleasantly surprised to see Tim from the office and the two from Peep Show, and thought here we go, I'm gonna love this....

Unfortunately it doesn't capture anything from what you may expect from our comedy, firstly because it's not funny. OK I thought, it needn't be funny to be enjoyed, it could be a good film anyway, it's not.

For me, it doesn't work because of the 3 couples. The two from Peep Show are just too familiar, as a big fan of Peep Show putting them together was an unbelievably bad idea because they are Jeremy and Sophie and that's that. Having one or the other, or having them both but in seperate couples would maybe have worked, but together is just ridiculous. Stephen Mangan just basically plays Guy from Green Wing in this aswell, and he and his bride to be are so unlikeable it hurts. I loved Guy's character in Green Wing, but even though he plays the same part, it just doesn't work. Finally the last couple with Tim from The Office, are just a pair of very weak characters and that's it, there literally is nothing else to say.

The stereotypical male wedding planners, are not funny and are annoying if anything, and Jimmy Carr who is also very funny usually is just irritating too.

All in all I wouldn't advise paying good money to watch this, it really isn't worth it. Just wait for it to one day to be shown on TV and catch it then for the sake of watching it, that's my advice.
