Wedding Planners Video Diary Featurette

The wedding planner duo have a video diary featurette on the dvd and I found it an interesting way to basically show deleted scenes. The planners impressed me as great scene stealers - the true heart and soul of the film - and I wonder why some of these scenes were cut. The scene where the naturist couple insist that the planners strip, at one of their meetings, was funny and very much in keeping with the humor of the movie. The bigger guy, Vincent Franklin, is a new kind of sex symbol. If you rent the dvd do not miss this special feature.

My Dvd didn't have this extra. I found it lacked in extras and it bugged me becuase that's why i buy the dvds.

I was going to post to make exactly this point. There's some golden stuff in the extras and I can't think why it was cut. As well as hilarious bits with the wedding planners, they flesh out some of the plots with the couples more (showing the hard work Matt & Sam put into their singing irons out one plot hole.) I can only imagine the pieces were cut for length, but I for one would much rather see a longer film with these bits in than the minimalist version. Only the cliched "best man lost the rings" scene grated at all.

And I can't believe I didn't realise that Vincent Franklin was the brilliant Rowan in the office - talk about two different roles! The wedding planners are wonderful, although I think Jessica Stevenson is wonderful - not too many gags to play with gives her the chance to demonstrate that she's not just a comic actress, just a seriously good one.

yeah the planners steal every scene theyre in, easily the funniest in the film, the scene with Jessica Hynes/Sam's mum and sister when they start fighting is hilarious
