Pacino and De Palma's opinions on this prequel?

In the past, I always used to wonder what Marlon Brando's opinion was on both The Godfather part II and part III. And from what I read, was that after he acted in the first Godfather film and had a falling out with Paramount Pictures(the production company that produced The Godfather trilogy), he basically moved on didn't look back whenever the first Godfather film was mentioned to him. But since "Rise To Power" was released in 2005 which was 12 years after the original Carlito's Way movie was released which was in 1993, I now wonder what the opinions of both Al Pacino(the original Carlito)and director Brian De Palma(who also teamed up with Pacino in Scarface). I wonder if they ever saw it and I also wonder if they either liked the prequel or probably thought,"my god, this seems nothing like the movie I starred in(Pacino)or directed(De Palma). Sure, producer Martin Bregman(who also produced Scarface and other Al Pacino films) and his son, Michael(who directed "Rise To Power")worked on the 1993 movie. And even Luis Guzman and four other actors who had small roles in the 1993 movie also acted in "Rise To Power" as well. But I guess it will always be a mystery on whether or not Al Pacino and Brian De Palma liked this prequel or not.

you can't compare neither one of the godfather movies to this piece of crap here

and where carlito's way should get a 10 star rating this *beep* up prequel should get a 1 star rating at the most ... of course compared to carlit's way

this here is a piece of *beep*

and p diddy? give me a break ... he looks like a retard ... nobody takes him serious as an actor

and that carlito character player here ... wtf ... the movie could have been quite good but p diddy and Jay Hernandez ruined it

You obviously didn't read my post correctly. I was not comparing Carlito's Way: Rise To Power to The Godfather. What I had stated was that I always used to wonder what Marlon Brando's opinion was to both GF II and GF III and whether he had liked or disliked those sequels to GF I which he had starred in back in 1972. Now that Carlito's Way: Rise To Power which is the prequel to Carlito's Way has been around since 2005, I was wondering what the opinions of both Al Pacino who played the original Carlito and director Brian De Palma's(who also teamed with Pacino in Scarface, respectfully) were towards the prequel and whether they liked or disliked it or not. Maybe you should read my original post again and maybe you'll also regret the response you made.
