So I was pretty much followed the story but I missed who the Spetsnaz were sent by. They obviously were there to kill everything in site but I want to make sure I know who sent them, the modern day government? Any ideas?
shareIn the book, Arseniyev says they've "been released by orders from the top". In the case of Spetsnaz, this could only be the President.
The FSB Colonel alludes to this by asking whether 'His Excellency was sober when he gave the order'.
So yeah, senior Govt orders.
Apparently Josef Jr. took out all of the Spetznatz by himself.
