Yeah, that's him. My theory on why he quit is that he was so close to attaining something that he'd been chasing for ten years and it scared the hell out of him. It's the only thing that makes sense because Walker was a tougher f-er. It wasn't anything physical that got him. I think it was just the mental factor.

Definitely mental.

I see it all the time with my job. You see people working so hard for this end goal, achieving several milestones on the way all that contribute to meeting this final objective. By the time you finally get to the final piece you cannot continue. I can't tell you how many times I have seen this, dozens at least. By the time you get to the end something internally shakes you and you don't go any further. That is the difference in the good and the great, the good can get there but become scared subconsciously and either go backwards or remain at that last level, they still succeed at that level but the great follow through and look for the next challenge.
